Minimally Invasive Surgery
Some heart procedures can now be performed through smaller incisions. This is referred to as minimally invasive surgery. New techniques using robotics are coming into practice which may allow even smaller incisions. These devices are currently first-generation technology and must be considered experimental at the current time. It's always best to discuss your individual case with your physician.
